Actress AnnaSophia Robb can next be seen co-starring in Hulu’s upcoming anthology series THE ACT, alongside Patricia Arquette, Chloë Sevigny and Joey King. Robb portrays Lacey, Gypsy Blancahrd’s only confidant. Lacey knows more than she lets on when law enforcement investigates Dee Dee’s murder in 2015. The highly anticipated series is set to premiere on March 20, 2019. Robb recently starred opposite Uma Thurman in Lionsgate’s suspenseful thriller DOWN A DARK HALL, directed by Rodrigo Cortes. She played ‘Kit Gordon,’ a troubled but gifted teenager sent away to a private boarding school to develop her talents, but then uncovers a dark secret about the school’s true intensions. Additionally, the actress starred in the second season of the highly anticipated PBS Civil War mini-series MERCY STREET, produced by Ridley Scott. Robb is set to star alongside Charlie Plummer and Taylor Russell in the upcoming film WORDS ON BATHROOM WALLS, based on Julia Walton’s debut novel.
On the silver screen, Robb was recently seen in the feature FREAKSHOW, produced by Drew Barrymore’s Flower Films and directed by Trudie Styler, which tells the story of a cross-dressing team who becomes a new student at an ultra-conservative high school. Robb co-starred opposite Toni Collette and Steve Carell in the critically acclaimed film, THE WAY, WAY BACK directed by Nat Faxon and Jim Rash for Fox Searchlight. She received amazing reviews for her performance in SOUL SUFER, the story of Bethany Hamilton, a competitive surfer who survived a horrific shark attack.
